Iridium GO!® Firmware update 2.3.1 [Update]

Iridium published the 18 July 2025 an update 2.3.1 for the’Iridium GO!® who had gone unnoticed during the summer. This firmware update is however particularly important :

Isilor not yet buried [Update]

Users will appreciate : 6 years after the latest version 1.11.0, against all expectations Wärtsilä publishes a update 1.12.2.
Nothing extraordinary however, But it was well worth a brief :

  • Minor bug resolution
  • Version compatible minimum iOS 11

Unlike my fears, Isailor seems not to be completely abandoned.

Shom cartography update at Geogarage

Catalog update SHOM charts France / DOM-TOM and dependencies by Geogarage for Weather4D Routage & Navigation and SailGrib WR

  • 203 updated charts (dont 9 new editions)

The catalog includes 863 charts (1429 with the inserts)

All international cards have been removed and will not be replaced by SHOM (See the information of the GeoGarage blog). However, they continue to be present in the database (but will no longer be updated from their last version).

March, the volume 2 from Introduction to Marine Weather – Weather in the Mediterranean, is updated on the iBook Store (Apple Books)

Version 1.2 – Layout improvements and link fixes.

Warning : A severe bug still unfixed affects the new process for uploading book updates. The version number is no longer replaced on the iBook Store and remains "Original". On the other hand, the description of the modifications is present. Once again : thank you Apple !

Updating ENC maps Spain and Croatia at Geogarage

Update of "rasterized" ENC charts Spain (IHM) at Geogarage for Weather4D Routage & Navigation and SailGrib WR.

  • 164 charts updated (on total of 330 rasterized ENC charts).

The catalogue includes the coasts of Spain and the Canary Islands.

Updating Weather4D User Guides

Changes have been made to the available ocean GRIB models :

    • MFWAM Global : Météo-France's global wave model has been upgraded to a resolution of 0,1° (6 NM) in addition to the 0.5° (30 NM) current. As a result, the MFWAM Europe is withdrawn.
    • HYCOM : the American global currents model, which has become unreachable, is discontinued.
    • Various additions and improvements.
