Iridium Mail & Web became fully usable again

Since release Apple iOS 8 early October 2014 the messaging app Iridium Mail & Web app (who replaced Iridium Mail & Web app) was no longer able to export an attachment to another application using the “Open in” function.… ”. As a result, a GRIB weather file received as an attachment from the SailDocs server could no longer be used in any application, mainly Weather4D PRO.

It took more than 3 months for two successive updates to correct this severely handicapping problem for Iridium customer users :

[Update 21 November 2014] The version 1.0.6 finally fixes this bug, but unfortunately adds others including the rotating display.
[Update 2 of 6 January 2015] The version 1.0.9 fixes bugs for viewing and deleting messages (by removing rotation, too strong !).

    My best wishes and a big thank you for the help you give us in trying to master these new tools.
    I just downloaded the latest version of web mail and l’ completely offbeat display forbids me to’ Access some commands :for example impossible to perform the settings.

    1. Indeed, the display bug is badly corrected : it is imperative to launch the application in PORTRAIT MODE. We think we are dreaming ! Don't forget to eject the app from memory before relaunching.

    First of all, all my best wishes for 2015 (even if the year is off to a bad start). Back from Tahiti, I confirm that I have tested it (too often) the app in question. Indeed, no more worries with the files, but display problems. And only walks vertically. As for the deletion of emails, When you delete an email, Apps crashes, but when you restart the email is no longer there … Let's say we can do better, but it's usable.

  3. the new IOS 8.1.1, arrived there 2 or 3 seems to be disrupting the display of Mail and Web on my iPad: The "is not in front" page of the screen. So some controls are not accessible except by turning the iPad. On the other hand, no problem on the iPhone. Have other users encountered the same situation ?

    1. Yes, absolutely, Optimization for iPhone 6 malfunctions on iPad. Rotating display bugs, and in addition the "Edit" function in the message boxes (Inbox, Outbox, etc,) does not work. Unable to delete a message. A botched update, It's desperate.

  5. In fact, the old axcess point application no longer exists in the Apple store. This must be the reason why there was no red dot. I have loaded the new iridium mail app & web and everything is ok again.

  6. Phew, very Good News, we leave the Canaries in 4 days and it was a bit of anxiety to find a replacement for Weather4D and its requests, that worked perfectly, until the unfortunate iOS update.
    Do we have an update to do or will it start working as before without any further intervention ?
